Anne E Schraff

Anne E. Schraff, born Anne Elaine Schraff, is an American author best known for her young adult fiction, including the Bluford Series, with over eighty books published. She began writing as a teenager, selling her first story to a western magazine while pretending to be male, and drew inspiration from her experiences with 1950s segregation and childhood travels. After earning BA and MA degrees from California State University, Northridge, she taught high school in San Diego from 1967 to 1977 before becoming a full-time writer.
