Anna Schultz

Anna Schultz is an ethnomusicologist who received her Ph.D. from the University of Illinois in 2004 and joined Stanford University in 2010 after serving as an Assistant Professor at the University of Minnesota. Her research focuses on the music of South Asia, including nationalism, religious experience, Indo-Caribbean music, diaspora, Hindi film music, Jewish music in India, Bulgarian music, and country and bluegrass. She authored the book 'Singing a Hindu Nation: Marathi Devotional Performance and Nationalism,' published by Oxford University Press in 2012.[1]
