Anna Freud
Anna Freud (1895–1982) was an Austrian-born British psychoanalyst and a pioneering founder of child psychoanalysis. She made major contributions to ego psychology and the study of defense mechanisms, and also helped develop child-focused therapeutic and observational work in London after fleeing Nazi-occupied Vienna.
