Anna Claybourne is a British children's author based in Edinburgh, Scotland, with over 25 years of experience writing mainly non-fiction books on science, nature, wildlife, the human body, art, craft, and Shakespeare. She began her career at Usborne Publishing in London and has since become a freelance writer and editor, authoring more than 200 books, including award-winning titles like Make It Splash! and the 100 series on dangerous and awesome things on the planet. Born and raised in Yorkshire, she has lived abroad in Canada, Iceland, and Costa Rica.
