Anna Bonus Kingsford
Anna Bonus Kingsford (née Annie Bonus) was an English physician, author, Theosophist, feminist, and prominent anti-vivisectionist and vegetarian campaigner in the 1880s[1][3]. She was one of the first English women to obtain a degree in medicine, graduating from the University of Paris without experimenting on any animals[1][3]. Kingsford is best known as the co-author with Edward Maitland of esoteric works such as The Perfect Way and for founding Esoteric Christianity[3][5].
