Angela C. Halfacre

Angela C. Halfacre is a Professor Emeritus of Earth and Environmental Sciences and Political Science at Furman University in Greenville, South Carolina, where she also founded and directed the David E. Shi Center for Sustainability since 2008. A native of Clemson, South Carolina, she earned her bachelor's degree from Furman and advanced degrees elsewhere, joining the faculty in 2008. She is an author known for works on environmental conservation, including a book on the culture of conservation in the South Carolina Lowcountry, and has extensive experience in sustainability programs on college campuses.
