Andrew Vachss
Andrew Henry Vachss was an American crime fiction author, attorney exclusively representing children and youths, and child protection consultant. He authored 33 novels, including the Burke series, three short story collections, poetry, plays, graphic novels, and focused his work on exposing child abuse in gritty neo-noir style. Vachss worked in various social services roles before his legal career and received an honorary Doctor of Laws from Case Western Reserve University in 2004.
