Andrew Murray

Andrew Murray (1828-1917) was a South African writer, teacher, Christian pastor, and theologian in the Dutch Reformed Church, known for promoting missions as the chief end of the church and authoring over 240 devotional books on themes like prayer, humility, and abiding in Christ. Educated in Scotland and the Netherlands, he pastored in South Africa for over six decades, founded missionary organizations and the Huguenot Seminary, and spoke at conferences like Keswick. His influential works include Abide in Christ, Absolute Surrender, and The Key to the Mission Problem.
