Andrew Kitchener
Dr. Andrew Charles Kitchener is a zoologist and Principal Curator of Vertebrates at National Museums Scotland, where he heads the Birds, Mammals, and Taxidermy sections and curates collections of birds and mammals, particularly carnivores, marine mammals, and ungulates.[1][3][4][5] He studied zoology at the University of Reading and earned his PhD there on the functional design of bovid horns.[1] His research focuses on hybridisation between native and introduced mammal species, geographical variation, effects of captivity on skeletal morphology, faunal change, and zooarchaeology of Scotland.[1]
