Andrei Makine

Andrei Makine is a French novelist born in the Soviet Union who writes primarily in French. He gained major recognition with *Dreams of My Russian Summers* (*Le Testament Français*), which won both the Prix Goncourt and the Prix Médicis, and he was elected to the Académie Française in 2016.
