Andrea Zimmerman, born December 2, 1950, in Akron, Ohio, is a children's book author and former dentist who earned a B.A. in Fine Arts for Children from California State University, Los Angeles, and a D.D.S. from UCLA. She frequently collaborated with her late husband David Clemesha on picture books such as Digger Man, Trashy Town, and Eliza's Cherry Trees, drawing inspiration from their family and her childhood love of nature and comics. Zimmerman enjoys gardening, travel, museums, and creating entertaining stories for young readers.[1][2][3]
