Andrea Portes

Andrea Portes is a bestselling American novelist best known for her debut novel *Hick*, a semi-autobiographical coming-of-age story set in rural Nebraska. She has also written young adult and adult fiction, including *Anatomy of a Misfit* and *The Fall of Butterflies*, and she adapted *Hick* into a screenplay for the film version.[1][2][3]
