Amilcar Cabral
Amilcar Cabral was a Bissau-Guinean and Cape Verdean agricultural engineer, writer, and nationalist leader who played a pivotal role in the anti-colonial movements of Guinea-Bissau and Cape Verde. He founded the African Party for the Independence of Guinea and Cape Verde (PAIGC) and authored influential works on liberation theory, including 'Return to the Source' and 'Unity and Struggle.' His assassination in 1973 occurred before he could see the independence he had fought for.
