Allan J. Tobin
Allan J. Tobin is a neuroscientist and Professor Emeritus at UCLA who specialized in the molecular and cellular biology of inhibitory neurotransmitters, particularly GABA. His research focused on neurodegenerative disorders, especially Huntington's disease, and his laboratory findings provided the basis for clinical trials in Parkinson's disease and diabetes. He served as director of the UCLA Brain Research Institute and held leadership positions at the CHDI Foundation and Hereditary Disease Foundation.
