Alistair Horne
Sir Alistair Allan Horne was a British historian, journalist, and former spy best known for his works on 19th- and 20th-century French history, especially "A Savage War of Peace" on the Algerian War. He wrote more than 20 books on history, biography, and travel and was widely regarded as a leading popular historian of modern France.
