Alice Notley

Alice Notley was a celebrated American poet known for her surreal landscapes, defiance of literary conventions, and profound exploration of motherhood, mythology, and the voices of the deceased. A key figure in the second generation of the New York School of poetry, she authored over 40 books throughout her five-decade career and was hailed as one of America's greatest living poets. She passed away in Paris at the age of 79 following a cerebral hemorrhage.
