Ali Smith

Ali Smith is a Scottish author, playwright, and journalist born in Inverness in 1962. Known for her innovative and experimental fiction, she has won numerous prestigious awards including the Goldsmiths Prize, Bailey's Women's Prize for Fiction, and the Orwell Prize, and has been shortlisted four times for the Man Booker Prize. Her work spans novels, short stories, plays, and essays, with her acclaimed seasonal quartet (Autumn, Winter, Spring, Summer) exploring contemporary themes with lyrical prose and imaginative depth.
