Alfred Tennyson

Alfred Tennyson, known as Alfred, Lord Tennyson, was the leading poet of the Victorian age and served as Poet Laureate of the United Kingdom from 1850 until his death in 1892. Born in Somersby, Lincolnshire, he is celebrated for masterpieces such as 'In Memoriam,' 'The Charge of the Light Brigade,' and 'Idylls of the King,' which reflect themes of grief, loss, and Arthurian legend.
