Alexander Pushkin

Alexander Pushkin (1799–1837) was a Russian poet, playwright, and novelist of the Romantic era, widely regarded as Russia's greatest poet and the founder of modern Russian literature. Born into an aristocratic family in Moscow, he revolutionized Russian literary language by blending storytelling, satire, and vernacular expression in works such as 'Eugene Onegin' and 'Ruslan and Ludmila'. His life ended tragically at age 37 after being mortally wounded in a duel.
