Alec Robertson

Alec Robertson (1892–1982) was a British organist, chorusmaster, music critic, broadcaster, and author known for his expertise in plainchant and writings on composers like Schubert and Dvořák. He worked for the Gramophone Company from 1920 to 1930, headed music talks at the BBC from 1940 to 1952, and served as music editor for Gramophone magazine from 1952 to 1972. He was appointed MBE in 1972.
