Alberto Santos-Dumont
Alberto Santos-Dumont was a pioneering Brazilian aviator and inventor, celebrated as the 'Father of Aviation' in Brazil for his groundbreaking airship flights and the first public powered airplane flight in Europe with his 14-bis. Born into a wealthy coffee-producing family, he dedicated his life to aeronautical experimentation in Paris, where he won the Deutsch prize and became one of the most famous figures of the early 20th century.
