Alan Weisman
Alan H. Weisman (born March 24, 1947) is an American author, professor, and award-winning journalist known for his work in environmental nonfiction and international reporting. His bestselling book *The World Without Us* (2007) imagines Earth's recovery after humanity's disappearance and was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award. He holds degrees from Northwestern University, teaches journalism at the University of Arizona, and lives in western Massachusetts with his wife, sculptor Beckie Kravetz.
