Alan Rifkin

Alan Rifkin is a Southern California novelist and essayist who has also worked as a contributing editor for *Details* and written for publications including the *Los Angeles Times Magazine* and *L.A. Weekly*. His first book, *Signal Hill*, was a finalist for the 2004 Southern California Booksellers Award in Fiction, and he has also been a finalist for a PEN Center USA journalism award.[1][3]
