Alan H. Sommerstein

Alan Herbert Sommerstein (born 1947) is a British classical scholar renowned for his work on ancient Greek tragedy and comedy, particularly the fragmentary plays of Aeschylus and Sophocles. He is a professor in the Department of Classics at the University of Nottingham and has also authored works on modern phonology.
