Alan Featherstone

Alan Watson Featherstone is a Scottish ecologist, natural history photographer, writer, and inspirational speaker who founded the conservation charity Trees for Life in 1986 to restore the Caledonian Forest in the Scottish Highlands.[2][3] Born in Lanarkshire, he has dedicated much of his career to this cause, including the purchase of the 10,000-acre Dundreggan Estate in 2008, and his photography has appeared in publications like BBC Wildlife and Time magazine.[1][4]
