Alan Cameron

Alan Douglas Edward Cameron (1938–2017) was a British classicist and academic known for his scholarship on the later Roman world, Greek and Latin poetic tradition, and late antique art. He served as Charles Anthon Professor Emeritus of the Latin Language and Literature at Columbia University and was widely respected for his contributions to classical philology.
