AL GHAZZALI
Al-Ghazali (Abu Hamid Muhammad ibn Muhammad al-Ghazali) was a Persian Sunni Muslim scholar, theologian, jurist, philosopher, and mystic born around 1058 in Tus, in present-day Iran. He is best known for influential works such as *The Revival of the Religious Sciences* and for his major critique of philosophy in *The Incoherence of the Philosophers*, which shaped later Islamic thought.
