Abram Kanof

Abram Kanof was a pediatrician, medical researcher, and clinical professor who was born in Russia on December 25, 1903, graduated from Columbia University in 1924, and received his M.D. from the State University of New York Medical School in 1928.[3] He and his wife Frances moved to Raleigh, North Carolina, from New York City in 1971, where they played a key role in establishing the Judaic Art Gallery at the North Carolina Museum of Art, which opened in 1983 with many pieces donated by the Kanof family.[1]
