Abigail Thernstrom
Abigail Thernstrom was a prominent American conservative scholar and author known for her influential critiques of affirmative action and her advocacy for colorblind approaches to addressing racial inequalities in education, voting, and employment. She served as vice-chair of the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights and was an adjunct scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, where she continued her work as a leading voice on race in America until her death at age 83.
