AB Simpson
Albert Benjamin Simpson (1843-1919) was a Canadian preacher, theologian, author, and founder of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, an evangelical denomination emphasizing global evangelism. Born on Prince Edward Island, he pastored prominent Presbyterian churches in Canada and the U.S. before resigning in 1881 to establish the Gospel Tabernacle in New York City, launching missions, rescue efforts, and the first illustrated mission magazine in North America. He authored over 70 books, edited a weekly magazine for nearly 40 years, and wrote numerous gospel songs, profoundly influencing early Pentecostalism through his Fourfold Gospel theology.
