A X Ahmad

A.X. Ahmad is an Indian-American author born in Kolkata who was educated at Vassar College and MIT before working as an international architect for many years.[1][5] He published his debut novel, The Caretaker, in May 2013 at age 45, introducing the character Ranjit Singh, a Sikh American immigrant protagonist.[5] Ahmad has also published short stories and essays on immigrant life in prestigious literary journals and currently teaches at The Bethesda Writer's Center in Washington, D.C.[1]
