A. Ra Kulakarni

A. R. Kulkarni was a prominent Indian historian specializing in Maratha history and the social and economic life of the Shivaji period in Maharashtra. Born into a Deshastha Rgvedi Brahman family in Belgaum district, he earned his BA from Rajaram College and later joined the University of Poona in 1969, where he built an extensive postgraduate research program until his retirement in 1985.
