A. R. Ammons
A. R. Ammons (1926–2001) was a celebrated American poet and professor at Cornell University, known for his experimental free verse and detailed, scientifically precise observations of nature. He published nearly thirty collections of poetry, including award-winning works like 'Collected Poems' and 'Garbage,' and was a leading exponent of the Transcendentalist tradition in late 20th-century American literature.
