David Kilbernie, a young Scots noble, immigrates to the Carolinas just in time for the Tuscarora War in 1712. Pauline is later adopted by the Reverend Raymond Bray, and when she comes of age, he leaves for the Cheraw country and hands over to Pauline the ministry and schoolhouse located in the very heart of the Yamasee Indian Land..
