The detailed story of my circumnavigation, mostly solo. As a retired Naval Officer I departed Norfolk Virginia, and in the ensuing 18 months, faced a myriad of dangers including a fire at sea, 3 encounters with pirates, a near dismasting near Madagascar, being robbed in Reunion, a "boat invasion" in Mauritius, and five days of 20 foot seas while crossing the Indian Ocean (solo) . The book details the challenges, the dangers, the rewards, the people, and the incredible memories during those 18 months and 27102 miles onboard my 51 ft sloop "3/4 Time".
