A Delltones Story: Get A Little Dirt

Bob Pierse's A Delltone's Story-Get A Little Dirt tells the story of his beginnings at the age of fourteen while still at school, into a lifetime of music. Singer, songwriter, producer, recording artist, performer and now author, Bob has done it all. From his early band The Nocturnes, that later morphed into the chart-topping Ray Brown and The Whispers, to The Beaumarks, who in 1965 were the first entertainers to do a Xmas show for the Aussie troops in Vietnam. The Ambassadors followed, the first spin off group from The Delltones, formed with Sep Martin and original Delltone Warren Lucas in 1966. This led to him being asked to join The Delltones with Sep in 1968, finally leaving at the end of 1981. The book documents the History of The Delltones, from the group's beginnings in 1958 as a four part vocal group, until 1981, when it became a showband. A general history of the showband, from then until 2016 is included. Bob's life, post 1981 continues his journey.
