Maybe you're like me and many more like us, perhaps you work a location-dependent job and dream about more freedom and travel than your time & money balance allows. You have one or the other but it can be challenging to put both in the same category at the same time. During the busy work week you've managed to squeeze some chores in and other to-do items on that never-ending list. On your days off you're likely running errands, or you're claiming your right to do nothing at all - it's your downtime after all! The work-week begins again all too soon and you rinse and repeat the process. Meanwhile that little voice in your head keeps chiming in "Is this it? Do I have, need or want another (what's your number) years of this?" Intuitively we know there's more to life than working and living this way. So like the many people who have the desire to share ideas by writing about it, this ebook was born out of that desire. No longer satisfied with just thinking about someday, I had finally accepted the fact that it's going to be necessary to set the date, make the plans and go out and seek the answers and enlightenment I'm craving. How can I be the best version of me when I'm sitting in disenchantment mode at my everyday job? As I thought of this and other things that I'm also considering before I actually get out on the road, I like many in this wonderful nomad community, turned to YouTube videos for answers to the "what are other people doing?" questions. From my point of view, this publication will focus primarily on other like-minded women who are also solo travellers. What struck me as I watched and still watch some of these women starting out was that I STILL had questions about what equipment she used for this or that and while sometimes those questions were answered or included as "links down below" in their YouTube videos, sometimes these were later on in their travels or in some cases not at all. So I decided that while I have the time to do the work, I'd answer my own questions and perhaps some of yours as well by putting together an ebook that answers those questions sooner than later. A guide if you will to some of the thinking that goes into planning to get out there and be as prepared as possible, to belay some of the fears ahead of time. While each journey is personal to the traveller, I hope this handy guide will help you to get prepared and have some of the answers to the questions you've asked while getting ready to launch your life forward. In general and for me and as mentioned before this will be a journey to take less and get and give more. If the pandemic taught us anything, it is my hope that we will not return to the way we were and the way things used to be. We must take less, give more and keep moving towards the light.
