WAIT! Isn't using a book for your passwords a bad idea?Picture the scene: You've just found that item you've been desperate to buy for months and you add it to your online basket, but right when you're ready to pay at the checkout, you're asked to sign in with your email/username and password. Your heart sinks because you can't remember which particular password you used for this site and you've now got to try out different passwords in the hope one of them will be correct or find where you stored it online or create a new password. We've all been there! It sucks the joy out of buying, right? So, going back to the question about using a password book being a bad idea...It's a good question, but think about it ... Using this book, you now have greater control over how safe your passwords are because now they're in this book YOU can put the book somewhere safe. With all the breaches of information, you cannot say the same for online storage. Also, it's unlikely anyone at home will be interested in your passwords, but online phishers are! And where will you find online phishers? That's right - online!'But!', I hear you exclaim, 'Shouldn't the book be disguised? I mean, is making it obvious it's a password book, really a good idea?'Disguising it will just lull you into a false sense of security and you'll be more likely to leave it laying around. It's YOUR responsibility to keep this book in a safe place, where untrustworthy individuals like a house burglar, say, won't find it. Okay, if you're still with me, here's some more information about this book:It's alphabetical so you can easily locate the password required. Each letter of the alphabet has 18 entry boxes, so this book should last you a while. It's 6x9 inches with 175 pages. There's space in each box to add up-dated passwords and you have a place at the back of the book to write down your security questions and answers. It's big enough to hold all your passwords yet slim and small enough to be easily tucked away between other books, in a drawer or even inside another book, unlike spiral bound versions. It allows you to keep all your usernames and passwords in one place which is much safer than leaving them laying around on random pieces of paper and sticky notes! It's great for infrequently used websites where you can't remember what password you used last time. You won't be caught out again; making online shopping etc much more enjoyable. And whilst it may appear a little old-fashioned, resorting to writing information down, at least you can remember where you've put it and how to open it, unlike online versions. So, whether you're buying this for yourself, for a friend or a relative, for a birthday or for Christmas (it's a great stocking-filler or secret Santa gift) buy it now and make forgetting passwords a thing of the past!
