Young Actors: Scripts for Drama Students Aged 11-15

A collection of exciting, relevant and thought-provoking scripts for young people aged 11-15. Written by professional actor and teacher Chris Jones, these scenes were designed to solve the problem many workshop leaders and teachers face: the lack of modern published material suitable for performance by young people. Most of the pieces are written with non-gendered roles so are easy to cast, and although some of the pieces are challenging, they are all suitable in terms of language and subject-matter for KS3 & KS4. Each piece has its own introduction with suggestions about staging - some could even be developed into GCSE scripted pieces or as stimulus for GCSE devised work. A number of the pieces deal with social issues and stigmas, whilst others are useful acting exercises. All will stimulate and excite your students. This is writing just for them.
