My parents died while I was a teenager. My mama died shortly after my fifteenth birthday. She was admitted to the hospital and the next day had surgery for her cancer. The last time I saw her she told me to take care of the younger siblings for daddy didn't know how. Two years later my daddy died from a heart condition. I was given the responsibility of raising my younger siblings while doing the household chores. I dropped out of high school in order to get job that I walked to and back home again everyday in order to be home when the younger children came home from school. One day a preacher invited me to church, and the next night at the age of eighteen I attended a Bible Study where I accepted the LORD JESUS CHRIST as MY SAVIOUR. By the grace of GOD, I was able to start a church; however, difficulties did arise when trying to put the younger children to bed and have an older brother home from Vietnam where he drink beer and cussed all night. I learned the true lesson of "Whose End Is Destruction, and the importance of inspecting one's life for eternity" from a funeral director who told me that someone that dies and is ready to go to Heaven is easy to dress, and someone who knows that they are going to Hell and their life end is destruction was stiff and was trying to hang on to this life.
