Contains the first survey of the assistance programmes of OECD Member countries and of the European Commission for the Central and Eastern European Countries and the New Independent States of the former Soviet Union. It describes the volume, strategies, priorities, administration, delivery mechanisms and financial terms of the aid programs. The survey contains a wealth of hitherto unpublished and largely unknown information in an area which is of considerable interest to politicians, officials, and the public in both donor and recipient countries.
