Most Thoughtful Guide to Substitute Teaching Avalable

This book is gives you real and well thought out advice. Sometimes it can be hard to get clear advice about how to prepare and be professional when coming into a classroom as a substitute teacher. This book has solid actionable advice, not generalities to help stay confidant, compassionate and in charge in a classroom. The only thing I would say is that some of the advice you will needs to slightly updated such as the advice to keep a pad by your phone for calls and to use note cards to keep track of school info. Many people now carry their phones and your computer might be easier than those note cards but the planing and preparedness are exactly correct. Also, the authors have a realistic view of children's potential to test limits and has dependable and specific ideas to help you be on the ball to direct them back to their school related tasks.
