This book is gives you real and well thought out advice. Sometimes it can be hard to get clear advice about how to prepare and be professional when coming into a classroom as a substitute teacher. This book has solid actionable advice, not generalities to help stay confidant, compassionate and in charge in a classroom. The only thing I would say is that some of the advice you will needs to slightly updated such as the advice to keep a pad by your phone for calls and to use note cards to keep track of school info. Many people now carry their phones and your computer might be easier than those note cards but the planing and preparedness are exactly correct.
