"The Spirit of the Great Auk" is the story of Richard Wheeler's kayak voyage from Newfoundland to Buzzard's Bay, Massachusetts, in which the migratory journey of the Great Auk bird is recreated. He discovers the depth of the sea's plight and decides he must tell us - for it's our plight too.
