Emma and Biddy were holidaying in the Dordogne, that peaceful and romantic region of France. They were aware it had a history of violence, but they believed that had finished with the Second World War - until, that is, they met the man in the white Peugeot. He was nervous, and in a great hurry to reach Veynard. What was his reason for going there? Why was he later found murdered? Had they, in taking him there, unwittingly helped to unleash the violence once again?
