The authors mother, Helen O. Larson, wrote her first poem at the age of twelve and her last poem at the age of ninety-four. During that period of time she penned 1,700 poems. She wrote about events of the world, celebrities of her time (Elvis Presley, 35 poems with pictures of Elvis in concert) and of course family, friends (Famous People, Family and Friends, 162 poems and pictures) and Jesus. She was born in 1910 and lived through her village being torn down to build the Scituate Reservoir (The Lost Village of Rockland, 69 poems with pictures and stories) , she lived through the Great Depression of the '30s, World War II, the swinging '40s and World War II, the rocking '50s and the Korean War. She enjoyed her grand children in the '60s and great grand children in the '70s. The '80s would see the passing of her husband (Diary of Love Poems, 113 poems with pictures) and Diary of Love Poems II, 196 poems with pictures) . The '90s she would live alone ( Jesus, Her Friend, 186 poems) until finally the 2000s would take her home. This book, (Forgotten Poems by Helen O.
