It is instinctive to turn to God for help when things have gone wrong - an essential part of His Divine Fatherhood is to receive, help and comfort us at such times. But life has many joyful moments too; festivals, celebrations, triumphs and successes. Surely it is our privilege to to take these to God as well. Just as sharing trouble and sadness with God our Father and with caring human friends can make them easier to bear, so too sharing our joys with Him and one another can enrich and magnify them. This is a book for special, happy occasions: the thoughts and prayers within suggest ways in which we can make the most of life's God-given joys, while expressing our sincere gratitude to the Giver.
