Heart

Heart began in conversations amongst friends: loving, genuine exchanges of life experiences, whether good, bad, or somewhere in between. This collection of haikus is about feelings because we all have them, and because true friends can be trusted with our sorrows and--more importantly--our joys. The poems explore disparate elements ranging from gardens to boxing, jealousy to salsa, sailing to motherhood, and what they say about living truthfully with ourselves. Heart is a chat with a trusted friend, one who perceives our flaws and our beauty without flinching.
