In the small city of Providence Rhode Island, Former Basketball hopeful Aaron Jones, returns to his high school to deliver the Freshman Orientation Speech. He speaks to the students on his long trying road, in life and in basketball. He tells them about meeting April Mae Summers the summer before high school began. She was the daughter of a wealthy billionaire CEO. Aaron & April Mae become high school sweet hearts, (kind of) . They start their journey together in the private school of Central High home of the black knights dealing with the norms that come with being a high school student. But for these two they had many more extreme events, including events that the average person may have to deal with, but are too afraid to talk about including; infidelity between parents, single parent homes, racism, gender stereotypes, teen pregnancy, abortion, rape, school shootings, death, drugs, bullying, depression, mental health issues and of course ... love. Aaron goes on to tell the Freshman his personal dealing with these things, realizing better choices he could have made along the way. Letting them know things never come easy, for every accomplishment always seem to come with some form of failure. What happens with Aaron and April Mae? What kind of life was in store for them? What did they have? And did they really lose all of it?
