Are you a relaxed homeschooler or unschooler? If so, you may live in a state or province where the educational authorities require homeschoolers to cover certain objectives every year, even if you don't believe in and don't want to follow a curriculum. And if you do live in such a place, you probably have to provide some sort of homeschool documentation every year to prove that you did something to cover those objectives with your children. While there are apps out there to help you do that, many homeschooling parents prefer to have something tangible, something they can hold in their hands. There is, after all nothing like the feel of smooth paper between your fingers. And there's nothing like being able to show Grandma a book and say, "See? You grandchildren ARE learning something!"But if you prefer paper documentation, how do you keep it all organized, and all in one place? This product, "Learning Proof", provides the solution. At the beginning there are several pages where homeschooling parents can jot down ideas they have to cover this school year's state-required objectives. It includes a page for brainstorming fun activities, as well, such as field trips. The core of the book consists of weekly documentation pages, one page per subject area, for the typical 36-week school year. The subject areas provided are language arts, math, science, social studies, and fine arts. Each page is broken into two parts. In the first section, you write down the objectives for that subject area that you covered during the past week. In the second, you write down how your child learned the objective - reading a certain book, watching a particular video, engaging in some other activity. Each of these pages is divided into two columns, so you can use the same documentation book for two children. Or, if you only have one child, you can use it for two years in a row. After the main subject area pages is a page where you can write down any other project or activity your child completed, either to impress your annual educational authority visitor or Grandma, or just for your own edification. If you're a relaxed homeschooling parent, or unschooling parent, but have to document your child's learning to an extent, this 8.5-by-11-inch book is the tool you need.
