Germany is indeed an interesting country (and I love the country I live in, seen from its culture, traditions, food, landscapes, etc.) but moreover in terms of its fastidious rules, regulations and laws. And this is from this legalized perspective I will be taking this book from. I have chosen this perspective simply because this is what I would call the "heart of many a German" i.e. this is also what makes a German a German, what makes German "tick" so to speak and what ofttimes makes it difficult for others to understand the German mentality. Diving into the rules and regulations of Germany is an attempt to try and understand what it means being German. However, this is by no means the only way to understand any German and it is by no means stereotyping my country (!) . Germans are among the most law-abiding people I have generally met (if not in the world!) - and this is indeed what most people love about Germans anyway! Germany is a country with and of rules and regulations, and should you fail to respect rules and regulations (which in most cases, probably do not exist in your country) you would at this point most certainly get to know the real character of any German.
